  • Publication number: 20190240828
Abstract: A tool box includes a base having a tool storage area for removably storing tools and a compartment below the tool storage area. The tool box further includes a lid selectively securable to the base in a closed position to secure the tools and releasable to an open position that provides user access to the tools. Still further, the tool box includes a processor and machine readable media storing instructions for performing a service operation with one or more of the tools, as well as a input device coupled to the processor, and an output device coupled to the processor for outputting at least a portion of the instructions to a user for servicing the target device. The input device is for receiving identification data and providing the identification data to the processor, wherein the identification data identifies a target device upon which the service operation is to be performed.

  • Publication number: 20070235333
Abstract: The invention is to provide a method for fabricating a patterned chip with adjustable surface including of a basic layer, an insulating layer and a layer of biomolecules or cells. The method comprises of the following steps: pre-patterning a basic layer by photolithography; coating the pre-patterned basic layer with an insulating layer, the insulating layer is placed in solution containing biomolecules or cells with external voltage applied to the insulating layer. In addition, two steps—fabricating an pattern on the insulating layer matching the pattern of the basic layer by photolithography and treating the patterned insulating surface with chemical, physical or plasma surface process treatment—can be further followed by the step of pre-patterning a basic layer by photolithography, then proceeding the remaining steps.

  • Publication number: 20070095407
Abstract: A microfluidic device that includes one or more microchannels configured to transport fluid, and one or more microchambers configured to receive the fluid, wherein each of the one or more microchannels is coupled in fluid communication to at least one of the one or more microchambers. The microfluidic device also includes a first set of electrodes, each of the electrodes electrically coupled to one of the one or more microchannels, and configured to selectively apply an adjustable voltage to the respective microchannel to cause the fluid in that microchannel to flow. The microfluidic device further includes a second set of electrodes, where each of the electrodes in the second set of electrodes is electrically coupled to corresponding microchambers and configured to apply an adjustable voltage to the corresponding microchambers to direct flowing fluid into those corresponding microchambers from the microchannels to which those corresponding microchambers are coupled.
