In particular, the intra-prediction mode-based image processing method may comprise the steps of: generating a pre-prediction sample of a current chroma block by performing first component prediction in which a reconstructed sample of a luminance block corresponding to the current chroma block is used; determining whether or not second component prediction is applicable to the current chroma block; and when the second component prediction is applicable, generating a final prediction sample of the current chroma block by using the pre-prediction sample and a residual signal of another chroma block corresponding to the current chroma block.
