  • Patent number: 5838373
Abstract: An imaging circuit includes a solid state imaging device, an A/D converter for converting light receiving signals outputted from the solid state imaging device to digital signals, and a driving unit for supplying clock signals to the solid state imaging device and the A/D converter. The solid state imaging device has a first mode in which the light receiving signals on two adjacent scanning lines arranged in the vertical direction are added to each other and outputted, and a second mode in which the light receiving signals on one scanning line are sequentially outputted in units of scanning lines, the first and second modes being optionally selectable in accordance with a predetermined mode selection signal.

  • Patent number: 5838457
Abstract: A photographic printing apparatus capable of printing, as an index print, an inlaid composite image having images of a plurality of frames of a film. An exposure device 10 of this printing apparatus includes an exposure controller 104 for controlling this exposure device 10 according to exposure conditions determined based on image information read from the film. The apparatus incorporates an index printer 40 for printing an inlaid composite image. An image information converter 103 is provided for producing, from the read image information, index-print image information corresponding to an image which is expected to be obtained on a photosensitive material if the material is exposed under the determined exposure conditions, and also for sending this index-print information to the index printer 40. A monitor 30 is provided for displaying the image information produced by the image information converter 103 for allowing checking thereof.

  • Patent number: 5671072
Abstract: Film image processing equipment enables, before printing, exposure conditions to be changed in order to produce authentic color reproductions. Each film has a particular color characteristic or bias which can be cancelled to produce authentic color reproductions. The film characteristic is detected statistically and is used as part of the change required to the exposure conditions to produce authentic reproduction.

  • Patent number: 4779987
Abstract: An improved method of spectrographically measuring density of a strip of photographic negative color film is disclosed. The method includes the steps of concurrently projecting an image of a photographic negative color film, having certain images recorded thereon, on each of a plurality of smaller divisional light beam receiving faces of an image receiving element with the aid of a plurality of projection optical systems. The optical systems include a color separating filter for separating projected light into three primary colors. The method further includes electrically scanning a number of photoelectric converting elements located on each light beam receiving faces, producing an output signal obtained by electrical scanning each face and storing the signal, and measuring relative density, degree of saturation and average density with respect to a part on the photographic negative color film corresponding to each of the light beam receiving face with reference to the stored signals.
