The electronic device includes a first short-range communication module configured to execute short-range communication with a second electronic device, a security module configured to store security information, and a processor configured to receive, from the second electronic device, a pairing key that registers the electronic device as being linked to the second electronic device, transmit session key generation information to the second electronic device when authentication with the second electronic device is completed based on the pairing key, generate a session key based on the session key generation information, encrypt the security information based on the session key, and transmit the encrypted information to the second electronic device.

    Abstract: An electronic device and a program management method therefor are provided. The electronic device includes a communication interface, a memory, at least one processor, and a secure circuitry. The secure circuitry is configured to provide a first public key stored in the secure circuitry to the at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to transmit the first public key to an external device and receive an encrypted secure program encrypted based on the first public key and a second public key generated by the external device, from the external device. The at least one processor is further configured to transmit the second public key and the encrypted secure program to the secure circuitry. The secure circuitry is configured to decrypt the encrypted secure program based on the second public key and a first private key which is symmetrical to the first public key.

In a method of operating an electronic device in which a membership number is stored, the method includes displaying by a display a plurality of payment cards, detecting by a controller selection of at least one of the plurality of payment cards, and transmitting to a payment server a membership number and a card identifier identifying the selected at least one of the plurality of payment cards, wherein the payment server approves a payment to the selected at least one of the plurality of payment cards when the membership number matches a second membership identifier received from a membership card that was swiped at a payment terminal.
