Such a DMB receiver comprises: a receiving unit for receiving DMB signals; a data storage unit for converting the received DMB signals to image data and storing the converted image data; and a connection unit arranged to interface with an image-forming device. Accordingly, when a user watches broadcasting programs using the DMB receiver, the user can easily capture or record desired scene(s) and store the captured or recorded scene(s) as an image file or a video file. In addition, by connecting the DMB receiver to the image-forming device, image data stored in the storage medium can be easily printed.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus and method are provided to decode compressed moving image data and selectively display a moving image corresponding to the decoded moving image data. Accordingly, the image data stored in the image capturing device can be easily and quickly stored separately and printed. In addition, the image storage apparatus can perform other jobs even when printing is being performed, and various functions can be provided by supporting peripherals.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for detecting the amount of an ink ribbon used are provided. In the apparatus, an ink ribbon includes ink layers formed on a transparent sheet, initial position boundary lines indicating initial positions of the ink layers for printing a unit of printing media, and color boundary lines dividing the ink layers depending on colors of the ink layers. A use amount detection unit detects a used amount of the ink ribbon by measuring velocity of the initial position boundary line. Therefore, the amount of the ink ribbon used can be detected even when the ink ribbon is replaced without an additional device such as a memory for storing the amount of the ink ribbon used, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. Since the used and remaining amounts of the ink ribbon can be correctly detected, users can conveniently predict the time for replacing the ink ribbon.

Abstract: Provided is a method of detecting double feed in an image forming apparatus. The method includes generating a barcode signal by detecting a barcode pattern using a reflective optical sensor while conveying a sheet of paper on which a barcode is printed, and determining that double feed has occurred when a level of the barcode signal is greater than a level of a predetermined reference signal.
