Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for retreading worn tires and the tires obtained therefrom. The said process comprises the steps of selecting the worn tires which are fit to be retreaded, removing the treads of the worn tires, buffing the surface of the tires to the correct size, shape and texture, cementing the casing using a rubber compound, preparing new treads which suit the dimension of each casing, buffing the new treads using a buffing means, attaching the buffed treads onto the casing using a tire builder means and placing the retread tires in a curing chamber.
