  • Publication number: 20060262130
Abstract: Disclosed is an organic light emitting display that reduces the number of output lines and adjusts a white balance. A scan driver supplies scan signals to a plurality of scan lines. A data driver supplies data signals to a plurality of output lines. Demultiplexers are installed at the respective output lines, and supply the data signals to the plurality of data lines. Data capacitors are coupled with the data lines, and charge a voltage corresponding to the data signals. An image display device is coupled with the scan lines and the data lines, and includes red pixels having a red organic light emitting diode, green pixels having a green organic light emitting diode, and blue pixels having a blue organic light emitting diode. A first initialization power supply supplies a first voltage to the red pixels. A second initialization power supply supplies a second voltage to the green pixels. A third initialization power supply supplies a third voltage to the blue pixels.

  • Publication number: 20060139255
Abstract: An organic light emitting display that reduces the number of output lines from a data driver, attains image stability, and adjusts white balance. A plurality of demultiplexers at the primary output lines of the data driver simultaneously supply the data signals from each primary output line to a plurality of secondary output lines allowing a reduced number of primary output lines. A plurality of parasitic capacitors are formed where data lines are coupled with the pixels and are charged to a voltage corresponding to the data signal that is simultaneously provided to the pixels allowing an image of uniform brightness to be displayed. The scan period and the data period are not overlapping allowing a stable image. Capacitance values of data capacitors are set taking into consideration the light emitting efficiency of organic light emitting diodes, allowing an image of adjusted white balance.

  • Publication number: 20060107143
Abstract: An organic light emitting display including a demultiplexer on each data line that splits and supplies each data signal to a plurality of data lines, thereby decreasing the number of output lines required and reducing production cost. Further, voltages corresponding to the data signals are sequentially charged in data capacitors, while the charged voltages are supplied to the pixels simultaneously allowing the organic light emitting display to display an image with uniform brightness. Scan periods for supplying the scan signals do not overlap with data periods for supplying the data signals thus yielding a stable image. Also, the capacitance of the data capacitor is set to compensate the voltage drop in the first power source line, thereby displaying an image with uniform brightness.

  • Publication number: 20060103323
Abstract: A light emitting display including: a plurality of scan lines adapted to transmit scan signals; a plurality of data lines adapted to transmit a data signal; a plurality of emission control lines adapted to transmit an emission control signal; and a plurality of pixels adapted to emit light in response to the scan signal, the data signal and the emission control signal. At least two pixels receiving the scan signals through different scan lines are connected to one emission control line. With this configuration, a scan driver and a light emitting display including the same have a decreased number of wiring lines provided in a pixel portion, thereby enhancing an aperture ratio, decreasing the number of emission control signals, decreasing the number of components and wiring lines needed for the scan driver, simplifying a fabrication process, and reducing the power consumption of the light emitting display.
