    Abstract: A screw for fixing vertebra for letting a patient perform spinal motion more smoothly after a pedicle screw insertion surgery is disclosed. A head portion of the screw body is pivotally joined in sliding contact on the head seat portion of a movable washer, which is also pivotally joined in sliding contact on the washer seat portion of a fastening nut. A first aperture and a second aperture are formed in the fastening nut and movable washer respectively, and an elongating portion without a thread is formed between a screw portion and the head portion of the screw body.

The device is extensible so as to fasten to the rod stably while maintaining fixing power if there is a gap between the vertebra and the rod. The device comprises pedicle screws that are inserted into the vertebrae, and a coupler in which the pedicle screw inserted into the vertebra and a head of the pedicle screw are connected, and the rod is housed therein, and fixes the rod by screw fastening the retainer to a thread formed on the top, and an extending means that can adjust the length so as to correspond to the distance between rod and vertebra is installed on the pedicle screw and the coupler.

    Abstract: The present invention discloses a prosthetic implant and an insertion instrument for inserting the prosthetic implant between adjacent vertebrae. The prosthetic implant in accordance with the present invention includes a housing for being packed with bone chips, an inserting hole formed at a first end of the housing, through which an insertion instrument can be inserted, and a connection recess formed on inner surface of the housing around the inserting hole, on which the insertion instrument is stably placed. The insertion instrument in accordance with the present invention includes a connection member having a connection chip at a first end, a rotating means for rotating and returning the connection member at a predetermined angle. In accordance with the present invention, the insertion instrument can be separated from the prosthetic implant by rotation of only one time after the prosthetic implanted is completely inserted, so that the operation process of implanting the prosthetic implant is easy and safe.
