The Invention also provides a method of production of said extract, comprising the steps of drying the leaves of Andrographis paniculata, and extracting them with water at a temperature of at least 50° C. The aqueous extract of Andrographis paniculata Leaves Is suitable for use as cognition enhancing agent having antineuroinflammatory and antioxidative effects.
