  • Patent number: 11653846
Abstract: A device comprising a piece of planar substrate embedded with two sensors and two emitters. The substrate has a generally planar surface for application onto the wearer's body part. The emitters and sensors are shown to be arranged in such a way that no subset of any two emitters and one sensor, or subset of any two emitters and one sensor, forms a straight line, which prevents the two sensors from detecting the same noise caused by the same wearer movements.

  • Publication number: 20190298196
Abstract: A device for monitoring heart rate or blood oxygen level during exercise is disclosed having sensors (106) and emitters (104), wherein the sensors (106) are used to monitor transmission from each of the emitters (104) in turn. This provides a possibility that a smaller device can be provided since less sensors and emitters can be used while obtaining more number of observations. In some embodiments the repeated use of sensors with different emitters introduces redundancy into the device so that the device is more robust and may function even in the event that one or two of the emitters and sensors have broken down.

  • Publication number: 20190282105
Abstract: A method, and a related device, for obtaining the blood pressure of a person. The method comprising steps of providing a light source (101), and an optical sensor (103) configured to detect light from the light source which has propagated through the wrist of a wearer of the device. The amount of light propagating through the wrist depends on the amount of blood in the wrist. Blood pressure is then observed by monitoring the difference in the amplitude of blood pulsation within the wrist when the wrist is lifted above heart level, and when the wrist is lowered below heart level.

  • Patent number: 9924259
Abstract: An earplug-type earphone is disclosed including: an earplug (10) for producing sound and an elastic support (30). The earplug (10) includes a front housing (200) and a rear housing (500) connected in that order. The elastic support (30) is positioned on an outer side of the rear housing (500). When the earplug (10) is inserted in the external auditory canal, the elastic support (30) is pressed and deformed and then applies resilience to the helix, by which the earplug can be stably positioned in the external auditory canal.

  • Publication number: 20170111490
Abstract: A method for transmitting data signal from a sending-end 100 to a receiving-end 200, comprising the steps of spreading the data signal into a spread spectrum signal, combining the spread signal with an analogue signal into a mixed signal. The mixed signal can be transmitted or broadcasted to the receiving-end 200. The receiving-end is able to play or use the analogue signal without significant noise from the spread spectrum signal. The spread spectrum signal can be retrieved by inverse-spread-processing the spread spectrum signal to retrieve the data signal. The sending-end can be in a headphone 900 and the receiving-end can be in a mobile phone 910, or the sending-end can be a loudspeaker broadcasting the analogue signal to a mobile phone picking up the analogue signal by the microphone in the mobile phone.
