    Abstract: The disclosure is directed to a radio resource sensing and selecting method used by a mobile device for wireless communication and a mobile device using the same. In an exemplary embodiment, the disclosure is directed to a resource sensing and selecting method used by a UE newly entering a network and operating under NR V2X mode 2. The method includes not limited to: receiving aperiodic data traffic; obtaining resource usage information of a resource pool before a first short-term window; determining collided UEs from the resource usage information; determining whether the collided UEs have sufficient resource units; selecting no resource within the first short-term window when the collided UEs lack sufficient resource units and waiting for a second short-term window; and selecting, in a random manner, an idle resource unit from the resource pool at the first short-term window when the collided UEs have sufficient resources.

    Abstract: A method for receiving and transmitting synchronization signal is provided. The method is applicable to a wireless communication device. The wireless communication device has a local timing. The method includes the following steps. Receive at least one synchronization signal. If a signal power of at least one of the at least one synchronization signal is greater than or equal to a signal power threshold, select one of the at least one synchronization signal as a reference synchronization signal according to a priority rule, and synchronize the local timing to the reference synchronization signal. If the signal power of each the synchronization signal is less than the signal power threshold, send a local synchronization signal according to the local timing. If the reference synchronization signal meets a forwarding criterion, forward the reference synchronization signal, wherein the forwarding criterion includes a power constraint and a hop count constraint.

The BS obtains D2D communication requests of the UEs by the carrier frequency bands, and groups the UEs into multiple groups according to locations of the UEs. The BS allocates a discovery resource pool of a predefined carrier frequency band to the UEs in the same group and enables each of the UEs to transmit a discovery message corresponding to each of the UEs' own in the discovery resource pool.

The vector quantization based secret key generation device includes: a channel estimator for estimating a channel based on received signals to generate an estimated channel vector; a channel decorrelator for decorrelating entries of the estimated channel vector to generate a decorrelated estimated channel vector; a plurality of clustered vector quantizers (CVQs) each for quantizing the decorrelated estimated channel vector into a secret key or a secret key index; and a selector for selecting an optimal quantizer output from the plurality of CVQs and determining whether to discard the decorrelated estimated channel vector to reduce key disagreement probability (KDP). Therefore, the present disclosure provides a secret key generation technique that is capable of increasing key entropy and reducing KDP.
