The socket shell is formed with a connection slot having a front end serving as an insert port. The connection board is disposed in the connection slot. The socket shell and the connection board can vertically float and move relative to each other, such that the connection board can vertically float and move relative to the socket shell or the socket shell can vertically float and move relative to the connection board.

The plastic seat has rows of first and second terminal slots. A front section of the second terminal slot has an opening communicating with the connection slot. The first and second terminals are assembled into the first and second terminal slots, respectively. Fixing portions of the first and second terminals are fixed to the first and second terminal slots, respectively. A front section of an extension of the second terminal rests against a resting surface of the second terminal slot. The second contact is exposed to the connection slot through the opening.

    Abstract: An electrical connector, into which a male plug, having an insulation base, a metal housing covering the base and a connection space therebetween, may be inserted. The connector includes a plastic base, a tongue, a connection slot and two rows of connection points. The tongue is projectingly disposed at a front end of the plastic base. The slot disposed at the front end of the plastic base covers the tongue. When the plug is inserted and positioned within the slot, the tongue is inserted into the connection space. The connection points are exposed from two surfaces of the tongue. Each connection point is electrically connected to a pin extending out of the plastic base. Spaces of the slot beside the two surfaces of the tongue allow the plug to be bidirectionally inserted and positioned. When the plug is positioned within the slot, the housing does not touch the connection point.

A second inserting port is defined and enclosed by the partition baffle, the two side portions and the top surface of the upper cover. When a first card is inserted into the first slot from the first inserting port, connection points of the first card are in direct contact with the first terminals. When a second card is slantingly inserted from the second inserting port, connection points of the second card are lowered and thus in direct contact with the first terminals.

The plastic base is fixed to the main board and formed with a connection slot having an opening. One end of the circuit board may be inserted into the opening. Each terminal disposed on the plastic base has a projecting connection point disposed on the connection slot. The board engaging structure has an engaging portion, which can engage with the circuit board when the circuit board is inserted into the connection slot. The elastic card-ejecting member enters a forced state when the circuit board is inserted into the connection slot by a stroke, and pushes the circuit board out by another stroke so that the circuit board is engaged with the engaging portion when the elastic card-ejecting member bounces.
