Abstract: A method for automatically notifying an intended person of a service interval of a test and measurement device by using the test and measurement device is described, wherein service data is received by the test and measurement device. The service data is processed internally. A time for maintenance is calculated automatically based on the service data retrieved. Further, a test and measurement device is described.

Abstract: A measurement instrument identification system is described for identifying one measurement instrument, wherein the identification system includes a sensor unit, a receiving unit for receiving a signal assigned to the measurement instrument, a processing unit, and an augmented reality unit for displaying at least a representative and/or a symbol assigned to the measurement instrument. The processing unit is further configured to select the one measurement instrument out of the plurality of measurement instruments based on the received signal assigned to the at least one measurement instrument and the signal received from the sensor unit. The processing unit is further configured to control the augmented reality unit to display a representative and/or a symbol assigned to the measurement instrument. Further, a method for finding a particular measurement instrument is described.

Abstract: A prediction system predicts compatibility of an existing test and measurement setup with a potential extension unit based on digital signatures. The prediction system includes a receiving unit, a processing unit, and a display unit. The receiving unit is configured to receive a digital signature from the potential extension unit and to forward the digital signature to the processing unit. The processing unit is configured to process the digital signature in order to predict whether the existing test and measurement setup is compatible with the potential extension unit. The processing unit is further configured to forward the result of the prediction to the display unit so that the result of the prediction is displayed. In addition, a method for predicting compatibility of an existing test and measurement setup with a potential extension unit based on digital signatures is described.
