  • Patent number: 10584468
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a universal adapter configured for use in a fluid delivery apparatus and an annular shaped member having a first end and a second end, an outer wall, a first opening at the first end, a second opening at a second end, and a duct extending from the first opening to the second opening. Grooves are formed in portions of the outer wall, an internal thread is formed in the duct, and a groove is formed in another portion of the duct. In accordance with another embodiment, method for manufacturing a universal adapter includes forming an annular shaped member having a first end and a second end, an outer wall, a first opening at the first end, a second opening at a second end, and a duct extending from the first opening to the second opening. A mating structure is formed from the outer wall and threads and a groove are formed in the duct.

  • Patent number: 10370833
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a fluid delivery system is provided that includes a faucet body having opposing ends spaced apart by a channel and a universal adapter mated to one end of the faucet body and a spout mated to the other end of the faucet body. A diverter is connected to the spout. In accordance with another embodiment, a method for manufacturing a faucet includes providing a faucet having a diverter, wherein the diverter includes a cavity configured for reducing water pressure within the cavity and bonding a protective material to the faucet so that the faucet and the protective material form a unitary structure.

  • Patent number: 9982421
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a diverter is provided that is configured for use in a fluid delivery apparatus. The diverter includes body portion and a channeling structure, wherein the channeling structure extends from the diverter. A fluid pressure adjustment structure is adjacent the channeling structure. In accordance with another embodiment, a method for holding a diverter in position is provided that includes placing the diverter adjacent a fluid channeling structure, wherein a gasket is positioned between the diverter and the fluid channeling structure and wherein the diverter is configured to have a cavity containing a pressure actuated position holding structure. A fluid is directed through the fluid channeling structure towards the pressure actuated position holding structure. The pressure within the cavity is reduced in response to the fluid flowing towards the pressure actuated position holding structure, wherein the reduced pressure helps hold the diverter in position.

  • Patent number: 9896825
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, a method for diverting a flow of a fluid is provided. The fluid is introduced into a conduit that has a central portion, an elbow spout, and a diverter. The spout is coupled to the conduit and the diverter is coupled to the spout. The inverter can be configured in a first position or a second position. In the first position, the diverter enables the fluid to flow through the spout and in the second position, the diverter inhibits fluid from flowing through the spout.
