Abstract: Described herein are devices, systems, methods, and processes for assessing and managing the carbon footprint of information technology (IT) infrastructures. The system can utilize distributed public key infrastructure (PKI) to ensure data security, trustworthiness, and anonymity. It may provide real-time, accurate, and comprehensive data on the carbon footprint of the entire infrastructure, enabling administrators to make informed decisions based on live, aggregated, and anonymized power consumption data and carbon footprint metrics. The system can also support the management of carbon-related metrics during processes such as device migration or infrastructure renewal. Furthermore, it can enable various stakeholders, including IT infrastructure owners, auditors, and generic users, to access and analyze the data based on their specific roles and permissions. This approach can enhance the transparency and accountability of IT operations, contributing to environmental sustainability efforts in the IT industry.

Abstract: Devices, systems, methods, and processes for sustainably deploying serverless functions across the globe are described herein. Often, when considering sustainability options for cloud-based service providers that can accept and operate serverless functions from various sources, the power source type can be considered. In many cases, solar-powered power sources can be desired, but is only available during the day. Thus, it may be desirable to consider where the location of a cloud-based service provider is located in relation to the daylight time. Thus, various data related to the power being utilized to power the cloud-based service provider location can be determined and utilized when comparing potential locations to deploy serverless functions. In some cases, a sustainability score can be generated based on this sustainability data and a sustainability profile that can be compared against other locations to determine the most suitable cloud-based service provider to deploy the serverless function onto.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system for anticipating environmental conditions within a critical environment needed to maintain a set of established environmental parameters within the critical environment. The system includes process equipment for maintaining the set of established environmental parameters within the critical environment and sensors to obtain sensor data from the environment. The system also includes controllers controlling the operation of the process equipment and an onsite server in communication with the sensor to receive the sensor data from the sensors and in communication with the controllers to transmit control data to the controllers, the onsite server further including a prediction engine.

Abstract: There is disclosed a flight control system, the flight control system including a Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) and a ground-based control centre, wherein the RPA and the ground-based control centre are configured to communicate using a plurality of different communication systems, wherein the RPA includes a computer system configured to determine operation risk, wherein the computer system receives input from the ground-based control centre for use in the determination of operation risk, wherein the computer system is configured to select a communication system from the plurality of different communication systems, and to use the selected communication system for communication between the RPA and the ground-based control centre, based on the determined operation risk.

Abstract: An all-solution electrode fabrication process is provided. The process comprises the steps of: i) preparing and activating a shrinkable polymer substrate for deposition of a a) conductive film; ii) modifying the substrate to incorporate a linker; iii) immobilizing particles of a conductive material on the linkers of the substrate to form a conductive film on the substrate; and vi) heating the modified substrate to a temperature sufficient to cause contraction of the polymer substrate and to result in micro- and/or nano-texturing in the conductive film. The process advantageously yields a novel multi-scale electrode device comprising a polymer substrate; and a textured electro-conductive film linked to the substrate.

A system and method can include analyzing a music data file including an attack portion and a tail portion. A fadeout range can be associated with the music data file, and a cut threshold of the tail portion can be identified. A modified version of the music data file can be played back. The playback can include reducing sound levels of the music data file in accordance with the fadeout range and ending the playback when the cut threshold of the tail portion is reached.
