  • Publication number: 20240108842
Abstract: A headgear assembly for retaining a respiratory mask on a user's face includes arrangements or components that allow for variation in a size of the headgear assembly. In some configurations, the headgear assembly includes one or more hubs, each of which are configured to connect a top and rear strap together. The size of the headgear assembly can be determined by the size or configuration of the hub. In other configurations, the headgear assembly comprises one or more spacer elements within one or more straps of the headgear. The size of the headgear assembly can be determined by the size of the spacer element or a relative position between the strap and the spacer element.

  • Publication number: 20240031491
Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing application programming interface (“API”)-based concurrent call path (“CCP”) provisioning. In various embodiments, in response to receiving a CCP provisioning request, a computing system may determine whether such a request would affect a set of trunk groups assigned to a customer based at least in part on network utilization data. If not, the computing system may cause the nodes in the network to increase or decrease, in near-real-time, the number of CCPs in at least one trunk group assigned to the customer based on the CCP provisioning request. If so, the computing system may cause the nodes in the network to increase or decrease, in near-real-time, the number of trunk groups assigned to the customer and may cause the nodes in the network to increase or decrease, in near-real-time, the number of CCPs in the updated number of trunk groups.

  • Publication number: 20220043830
Abstract: A distributed data store may maintain versioned hierarchical data structures. Different versions of a hierarchical data structure may be maintained consistent with a transaction log for the hierarchical data structure. When access requests directed to the hierarchical data structure are received, a version of the hierarchical data structure may be identified for processing an access request. For access requests with snapshot isolation, the identified version alone may be sufficient to consistently process the access request. For access requests with higher isolation requirements, such as serializable isolation, transactions based on the access request may be submitted to the transaction log so that access requests resulting in committed transactions may be allowed, whereas access requests resulting in conflicting transactions may be denied.

  • Patent number: 9435579
Abstract: A door for a refrigerator appliance is pivotally connected by a hinge. The door includes a polygonal shell having corners and defining at least part of a cavity therein and a hinge bearing mounted to the polygonal shell adjacent one of the corners. The hinge bearing extends into the cavity and defines a generally cylindrical passage to receive and journal a hinge pin of the refrigerator appliance. A reinforcement tube is secured to the hinge bearing and extends a distance within the cavity. The reinforcement tube includes a sidewall that defines a hollow interior, and at least one hole extends through the sidewall to provide communication between the cavity and the hollow interior. Insulation is foamed in place that substantially fills the cavity including the corner, and the insulation penetrates into the hollow interior of the reinforcement tube via the at least one hole.

  • Patent number: 8476201
Abstract: Invert emulsion drilling fluids that have extended emulsion stability and reduced sag potential are described herein. The drilling fluids comprise an invert emulsion, a weighting agent, and a plurality of colloidal particles. The invert emulsion comprises an oleaginous fluid continuous phase, an aqueous fluid internal phase, and a surfactant. At least a portion of the plurality of colloidal particles interact with the surfactant to form an associative supporting structure that inhibits sag of the weighting agent. In some embodiments, the weighting agent comprises barite particles, particularly barite particles that are less than about 45 ?m in size. Methods for placing the invert emulsion drilling fluids in a subterranean formation via a wellbore are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7401921
Abstract: A motorized head supporting and positioning apparatus is disclosed, such as is useful for eye examination or treatment. The apparatus includes head-receiving supports, which can include a forehead rest and a chinrest, which can be linked by a single arm assembly. A main assembly of the apparatus contains a motor assembly, which can include three motors driven in a coupled manner to guide a head along a three-dimensional path at a speed that is comfortable to the patient. The apparatus can be relatively compact, owing at least in part to a pivoted approximate Z-axis movement along the optical axis. In addition to open-loop operation, the apparatus can be used with a tracking subsystem to achieve closed-loop positioning in real time, as well as to enable the activation of an examination/treatment instrument when the eye is brought within an acceptable tolerance of a desired position.

  • Patent number: 7400410
Abstract: An accurate measure of eye length can be obtained using concurrent OCT measurements. A position OCT device can be used to continually monitor the position of the front surface of the cornea, while a distance OCT device can determine the apparent distance between the front surface of the cornea and the front surface of the retina. Since the eye is likely to move during the period of time between measurements of the cornea and retina, the monitored position of the cornea can be used to correct the apparent length measurement by the amount of eye movement over that period of time, in order to obtain an accurate measure of eye length. In some embodiments a single OCT device can serve the dual role of monitoring eye position while making eye length measurements.

  • Patent number: 6607809
Abstract: A tile with a transparent glass body having a smooth front face and a three-dimensional design impressed on the rear face that is viewed through the front face. The impressed design is further defined by a layer of decorative glass materials fused to the impressed design as well as some or all of the rear face. An overlay of glass material is fused to and follows the topography of, the decorative glass materials layer and/or the rear face of the glass tile body, sandwiching the decorative glass materials layer between the glass tile body and the glass material overlay. Once fused; the glass material overlay, the decorative glass materials layer and the glass tile body meld to become one homogenous glass layer, comprising the tile, that cannot delaminate. The resulting glass tile is similar in use and durability to ceramic tile while adding the ability to carry a protected, three-dimensional design.
