  • Publication number: 20100275342
Abstract: A seamless, single layer, multi-yarn glove or glove liner is disclosed. The glove or glove liner includes a first type of yarn and a second type of yarn that is different from the first type of yarn. The glove or glove liner has a single layer that includes the first type of yarn and the second type of yarn knitted together to form a hand-like structure that includes a thumb section, a plurality of finger sections and a palm section. The first type of yarn is different that the second type of yarn. For example, the first type of yarn may be a cut resistant yarn and the second type of yarn may be an inexpensive elastic yarn such as Spandex. Gloves suitable for use by carpenters, electricians, HVAC handlers, laborers, masons, and plumbers are also provided. Methods of using these gloves are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20050265775
Abstract: A ring mechanism includes a chassis and a hinge blade coupled to the chassis. An actuator coupled to the chassis moves the hinge blade between a first position and a second position. A ring half coupled to the hinge blade is positioned in a closed position when the hinge blade is in the first position, and an open position when the hinge blade is in the second position. A dampening member is positioned at least partially between the inner surface of the chassis and the actuator to prevent at least a portion of the actuator from directly engaging the inner surface of the chassis during movement of the actuator between the first and second positions. A locked state indicator indicates to the user whether the ring mechanism is in a locked position or an unlocked position. The dampening member can function as the lock state indicator and vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20050116126
Abstract: A mobile IV pole has a wheeled base with an enclosure that substantially covers the wheels and a bumper secured to the enclosure. A pole is coupled to the base, and a plurality of hook or other holders are provided for holding intravenous fluid reservoirs. The pole may include first and second arms that extend substantially vertically upwardly from the base, each arm made up of respective lower, central, and upper telescoping tubular portions. The lower portions of the arms are securely coupled to the base, the upper portions are rigidly interconnected with one another, and the central portions of the first and second arms are rigidly interconnected by a stabilization bar which has a plurality of routing channels therein for routing flexible IV tubing. An obliquely oriented handle is coupled to the pole and is axially movable along at least a portion of the pole. The IV pole may be provided with an electrical receptacle having a retractable power cord.

  • Publication number: 20040151531
Abstract: A binder including a flat and a ring mechanism coupled to a mounting surface of the flat. The ring mechanism includes a chassis and a hinge blade coupled to the chassis. The hinge blade is movable between a first and a second position. A ring half is coupled to the hinge blade, the ring half movable between a closed position, when the hinge blade is in the first position, and an open position, when the hinge blade is in the second position. A sound deadening mechanism in the form of a dampening member is positioned at least partially between the chassis and the mounting surface to prevent the hinge blade from directly engaging the inner surface of the chassis.
