  • Publication number: 20180284908
Abstract: 360° video which is viewable from multiple directions based on a direction of pointing of a hardware device. As the hardware device points in from a different direction, the direction of viewing of the video automatically changes. So as the device moves from side to side, the direction of viewing of the video similarly moves from side to side. Embodiments describe the device being a mouse on a computer, where by moving the cursor of the mouse moves the direction of viewing of the video; being a cellular phone where moving the direction of pointing and tilting of the cellular phone moves the direction of viewing of the video; and a virtual reality device, where the virtual reality device shows on its display a different point of view based on the different position of viewing.

  • Publication number: 20130236054
Abstract: A target object is found in a target image, by using a computer for determining an orientation field of at least plural pixels of the target image, where the orientation field describes pixels at discrete positions of the target image being analyzed according to an orientation, and location. The orientation field is mapped against an orientation field in model images in a database to compute match values between the orientation field of the target image and orientation field of model images in the database. The match values are thresholded, and those match values that exceed the threshold to are counted to determine a match between the target and the model.

  • Patent number: 8311901
Abstract: Systems and methods for distributing products using a wide area or global computer network are provided. A method for distributing products is provided wherein a request for a product is received from a consumer, preferably using a web based interface. An indirect seller provides the web based interface and preferably maintains the inventory management system. A retailer to fulfill the consumer request for product is determined based upon the nearest retailer to the consumer that has current stock of the requested. Inventory levels of product are maintained by an inventory management system that receives shipping information from manufacturers regarding shipments of products from the manufacturers to retailers and sales information from retailers reflecting sales of products from the retailers to consumers. A terminal may also be provided at retail locations to enable users of the terminal to interact with the inventory management system while at a physical retail location.

  • Patent number: 7996788
Abstract: A graphical user interface is provided that permits the navigation of dynamic collections of information. A simplified presentation allows navigation between multiple levels of information content. Navigating through the various levels of the collection of information causes the information to be recursively presented in a hierarchical fashion. Furthermore, the information content may be dynamic in nature such that changes to the information content or its structure is reflected in the hierarchical presentation. The present invention may be used to navigate collections of information including web sites, computer file systems, databases, and other hierarchical systems.
