The fastening device may comprise a frame and top portion having through holes to attach a removable decorative accessory to a backing element. A bottom surface of the frame may comprise a recessed receiving area specially designed to allow the head of a backing element to fit into the recessed area to minimize rotation of the decorative accessory and to allow the head portion to sit flush with the edge of the bottom surface of the frame.
