  • Patent number: 9771090
Abstract: A railway monitoring system for detecting degradations, anomalies, changes, and other states of the railway that may indicate an increased probability of derailment, the need for maintenance, or the impedance of railway operation. The railway monitoring system broadly includes a sensor, a data storage component, a data collection and processing component, and a location positioning component. The sensor and other equipment are mounted in a specially designed or modified rail car and cooperatively collect data representative of railway conditions or states and detect changes in the conditions or states by comparing the collected data to previously collected data points.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 22, 2016
Date of Patent: September 26, 2017
Assignees: Bartlett & West, Inc., R.J. Corman, Railroad Group, LLC
Inventors: Keith Warta, Doug Morrison, Chris Cobb, Korey Colyer, Craig King, Mike Wilson

  • Publication number: 20050226597
Abstract: The described embodiments relate to processing systems and methods. One exemplary method walks a source version object base, and maintains state and access to elements that appear to have been removed from the source version object base.

  • Publication number: 20040085360
Abstract: The wireless communication device GUI uses a hierarchical set of commands that integrate the displays generated on the graphical display with the standard 12-button telephone keypad. In particular, the graphical display produces an image of all or a selected part of the standard 12-button telephone keypad (for convenience, both options being noted as the “telephone keypad” herein) with iconic and textual representations of commands/functions being displayed juxtaposed to the image of the numeric key. The user can then activate a selected key on the telephone keypad to activate one of the displayed commands/functions. A home state is used to provide a baseline point of reference from which the user can select one of a plurality of basic functions that include reading messages, generating messages as well as accessing various administrative functions and predetermined stock message icons and/or cards.
