  • Patent number: 12108110
Abstract: A computing device may be configured to receive an audio segment and to determine whether the audio segment comprises one or more classification markers. The classification marker may be encoded in high-frequency sounds. One or more setting may be associated with the classification marker (e.g., objectionable, confusing, traumatic, dangerous, etc.). The computing device may be configured to, based on the one or more settings, perform an action (e.g., suppress the audio segment, provide a visual indicator, customized response, reducing volume, noise cancellation).

  • Publication number: 20240064344
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are described herein for analyzing content if an interruption occurs during an output of content so as to synchronize a playback point of the output of content to a live point of the output of content. An output of content may be interrupted for any number of reasons, and during the interruption period, the content may be selectively stored.

  • Publication number: 20220256213
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices relating to network control are described herein. In a method, a computing device may receive a request from a client device for a first segment of a first version of a content asset. The computing device may determine, based on one or more usage characteristics associated with a capability of the computing device to provide content to connected client devices, a second version of the content asset for the client device to request in one or more subsequent requests for the content asset. The computing device may send the requested-for first segment to the client device via a response that also comprises a header, trailer, or metadata indicating the second version of the content asset. The computing device may receive a second request for a second segment of the second version of the content asset.

  • Publication number: 20220248005
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for processing video content. Content may be encoded/transcoded for delivery to a computing device that requested the content. The content may be encoded as temporally interlaced blocks, which interlaces frames over time. Because the frames are temporally interlaced, the computing device may be able to decode and play back a full-length or complete video at a reduced quality even if every temporally interlaced block was not received by the computing device, such as when network bandwidth is low or the network connection is disrupted. Receiving only a portion of the temporally interlaced blocks may be still be sufficient to display a full-length video at a reduced quality (e.g., at a reduced bit rate).
