Abstract: The present invention provides a method, apparatus, and computer program product for implementing a business systems management solution for end-to-end event management. The present invention realizes a number of business systems management functionalities, including defining event databases and means for event monitoring and correlating a customer's business functions by using an enterprise view focused on a system of applications, operating systems, connections, and physical components. Together these components make up a business system as defined by the customer. As such, a business system can cross technology platforms, physical space, and comprise multiple applications, or a business system could be limited to a single platform, location, and application.

Abstract: A method of prioritizing a business process based on enabling components is provided. The enabling components may comprise technology, staff, processes or other tools. The plurality of service elements used to accomplish the business process are determined. A criticality value for a first service element of the business process is determined, as well as a timing value for the first service element of the business process. A first implementation Value is calculated based on the criticality value and the timing value. The first service element is then ranked in a hierarchy based on the first implementation value. Computer program product and systems using the method are also provided.

A model is calculated for the business process, wherein the model comprises an implementation value for each step. An enabling technological component is matched to each step based on the implementation value of the enabling technological component.
