The system predicts demand and usage and dynamically selects and adjusts utilization of computing resources to meet the demand and utilize otherwise idle systems. To improve latency and reduce network congestion by avoiding adding network traffic over longer and more complex routes, the system provides resources to particular remote devices based on the geographic proximity of the computing node to the particular remote device requesting the resources.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving the privacy and security of wireless communications by automatically preloading an electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profile associated with a temporary service plan prior to making a phone call to a particular phone number and by leveraging eSIM profiles to enable number portability are described. Before placing a call to a new or unknown phone number, a mobile phone may automatically identify a temporary eSIM profile from a pool of eSIM profiles based on a geographic location of the mobile phone and/or the particular phone number to be called. The temporary eSIM profile may be loaded into an embedded universal integrated circuit card (eUICC) of the mobile phone prior to placing the call to the new or unknown phone number.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for improving the privacy and security of wireless communications by leveraging electronic subscriber identity module (eSIM) profiles to enable number portability and the ability to transfer a secondary service plan from a first computing device to a second computing device are described. A second eSIM profile associated with a secondary service plan that depends on a primary service plan used by the first computing device may be transferred to the second computing device by displaying a QR code on a display screen of the first computing device or by sending an electronic message from the first computing device to the second computing device. The second eSIM profile may be automatically identified by the first mobile device based on a location of the second mobile device.
