Abstract: An anti-theft device for securing an article of merchandise against unauthorized removal from a display counter. The anti-theft device comprises a latch plate and a pedestal having a quick-release interface. The latch plate is configured to selectively couple to the quick-release interface. A latch bolt is disposed within the pedestal. The latch bolt locks the latch plate relative to the quick-release interface. A plurality of retaining arms is configured to receive and retain an article of merchandise. The retaining arms cannot be disengaged from the article of merchandise while the latch plate is locked relative to the quick-release interface. A solenoid is housed within the pedestal and operationally connected to the latch bolt. The solenoid is configured to retract the latch bolt into a position in which the latch bolt disengages the latch plate, thereby releasing the latch plate from the quick-release interface.

The online concierge system stores the information for finding the difficult to find item from the shopper in association with the difficult to find item and with the warehouse. Subsequently, when a different shopper is fulfilling an order from the warehouse including the difficult to find item, the online concierge system displays the information for finding the difficult to find item in the warehouse to the different shopper.

Abstract: Technologies relating to monitoring communications traffic to detect potential attacks on industrial control system networks and building automation system networks are described herein. In an embodiment, a monitoring device receives a plurality of communications from a control network. The monitoring device transmits the communications to a computing device. Based on the communications, the computing device generates a listing of devices that communicated by way of the control network over a period of time, and computes a volume of traffic between each pair of devices in the listing of devices. The computing device then outputs a graphical user interface (GUI) by way of display, the GUI comprising data indicative of the computed volumes of traffic, which may be indicative of a potential attack on the control network.

Abstract: Described herein are various technologies for detection and mitigation of rogue terminal attacks on multiplex data buses. An intrusion detection device is incorporated between a bus controller and a bus of a multiplex data bus. The intrusion detection device receives message that are communicated among the bus controller and a plurality of remote terminals (by way of the bus). The intrusion detection device determines whether messages are unauthorized based upon origins of the messages and predefined rules. When a message is determined to be unauthorized, the intrusion detection device outputs a notification that the unauthorized message has been detected and can block the unauthorized message.

Abstract: Techniques and mechanism to selectively provide resource access to a functional domain of a platform. In an embodiment, the platform includes both a report domain to monitor the functional domain and a policy domain to identify, based on such monitoring, a transition of the functional domain from a first integrity level to a second integrity level. In response to a change in integrity level, the policy domain may configure the enforcement domain to enforce against the functional domain one or more resource accessibility rules corresponding to the second integrity level. In another embodiment, the policy domain automatically initiates operations in aid of transitioning the platform from the second integrity level to a higher integrity level.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method for printing an image of high quality on a porous substrate comprising applying to the porous substrate, in any order, a coating composition comprising water and/or a hydrophilic organic solvent and droplets of an ink jet ink composition comprising an image producing dye dissolved in an ink solvent, wherein the ink solvent is miscible with water and/or the hydrophilic organic solvent, and the image producing dye is insoluble or poorly soluble in the coating composition, such that when the coating composition contacts the ink jet ink composition, at least a portion of the image producing dye separates from the ink jet ink composition and deposits on the surface of the porous substrate.
