Patent number: 11475519Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable instructions are configured to calculate an aggregated significance score for consumer goods or website interactions by aggregating historical significance scores and calculating a reference significance score for a benchmark. A relative significance score is derived for each of the consumer goods or website interactions based upon the significance score for each of the consumer goods or website interactions and the relative significance score. A consumer priority index is derived indexed to a relevant measure based on the aggregated significance scores and the reference significance score.Type: GrantFiled: January 7, 2020Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: TD AMERITRADE IP COMPANY, INC.Inventor: Chris Jennings

Patent number: 9486008Abstract: A system for trimming a lettuce head using a digital imaging system and cutting mechanism. The lettuce head is conveyed between a lower feed conveyor and an upper feed conveyor that is disposed a fixed distance over and substantially aligned with a lower feed conveyor. The digital imaging system is configured to capture an image of the lettuce head and determine a cutting profile using the image. The cutting mechanism is disposed over the lower feed conveyor and includes: a servo motor mechanically coupled to a drive shaft; an armature with a pivot end mounted to the drive shaft and a sweep end disposed a radial distance from the pivot end; a cutting nozzle, mounted to the sweep end of the armature, configured to trim the lettuce head; and servo-control circuitry configured to articulate the cutting nozzle through a cutting arc based on the cutting profile.Type: GrantFiled: September 27, 2013Date of Patent: November 8, 2016Assignee: DOLE FRESH VEGETABLES, INC.Inventors: Rosser W. Pryor, Roland C. Myers, Jr., Stephan C. Robinson, Roger D. Billingsley, Stephen Chris Jens, Frank E. Davis, Robert Ragon

Patent number: 9002740Abstract: Systems, methods, and instructions stored on computer-readable mediums for calculating a volatility score for each of a plurality of securities and calculating a reference volatility score for a benchmark. A relative volatility score is derived for each of the plurality of securities based upon the volatility score for each of the plurality of securities and the reference volatility score. A correlation for each of the plurality of securities to the benchmark is determined. The relative volatility score for at least one of the securities is adjusted based on the correlation. An aggregated volatility score is derived for each of a plurality of accounts based in part on securities held within an account and the relative volatility scores for the securities. A sentiment index is determined based upon the aggregated volatility score for each of the plurality of accounts.Type: GrantFiled: April 4, 2013Date of Patent: April 7, 2015Assignee: TD Ameritrade IP Company, Inc.Inventors: Chris Jennings, Steve Quirk

Patent number: 6217309Abstract: A sliced food product such as a cheese product or meat product having a design or figure cut or otherwise formed therein. In accordance with a preferred embodiment, the design or figure is cut entirely or substantially through the slice so that the design or figure may be removed from a surrounding peripheral portion of the slice. A method and apparatus for forming the figure or design are also disclosed. The preferred method and apparatus employ a rotary figure cutter which cuts entirely through the slice to outline a pattern or figure, and which cuts or penetrates partially through the slice to form details of the figure by embossing or indenting design components on the slice. The slice is preferably wrapped in film prior to the figure cutting operation, and the figure cutter performs its function without cutting or tearing the film wrap. The rotary figure cutter preferably comprises a pair of rotary dies between which each slice passes as the design is formed thereon.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 1999Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Assignee: Kraft Foods, Inc.Inventors: Stephen Chris Jens, Leon Alberto Espinel, Gilbert George Fryklund
