Abstract: Described here are devices, systems, and methods for positioning a suction catheter in the airway of a patient. The systems may comprise a suction catheter, a delivery device, and/or a stylet. The delivery device may comprise an elongate shaft, an atraumatic distal end, an elongate passageway, and a retention element configured to releasably couple to an endotracheal tube. The suction catheter may be positioned in the elongate passageway, and the delivery device may help advance the suction catheter into the airway of a patient. In some variations, the delivery device may comprise elements configured to release the suction catheter in the airway after positioning.

Abstract: The invention provides a synergistic surfactant composition comprising: (a) from 5 to 95 wt % of a first surfactant which is selected from derivatives of alkyl polyglucosides and mixtures thereof; and (b) from 5 to 95 wt % of a second surfactant which is selected from: amphoteric surfactants, cationic surfactants, anionic surfactants, non-ionic surfactants, and mixtures thereof. This surfactant composition may be used to generate foam that is used for unloading a liquid from a hydrocarbon reservoir. It may be that the liquid unloading of foam generated using the surfactant composition is greater than that of foam generated from the first and second surfactants when they are foamed individually.

The present invention further describes a method of spraying fluid from a container.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of conducting a money transfer transaction. The method comprises obtaining identification data from a customer at a point-of-sale terminal; verifying the obtained identification data by matching the identification data with customer data maintained in computer memory; obtaining transaction details from the customer, the transaction details including a transaction value and a recipient international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) associated with a mobile device; displaying a summary of the proposed money transfer transaction on a display device in communication with the point-of-sale terminal; obtaining confirmation of the money transfer transaction from the customer; obtaining payment from the customer representing the transaction value; and associating the transaction value with the recipient IMSI. Also provided are methods of conducting a payment transaction and related money transfer and payment transaction systems.

Abstract: The invention provides a foam control formulation in the form of a microemulsion, the formulation comprising: (a) from S to 70% w/w of primary surfactant, this surfactant having an HLB of from 1 to 12 and/or a cloud point of from 20 to 70° C.; (b) from 2 to 40% w/w of water-insoluble organic carrier liquid; and (c) water. Also provided is the use of this formulation to prevent and/or reduce foam in a fluid system, or as a processing aid to control foam production in a fluid system. The formulation may be used in an aqueous fluid system, such as an oilfield.

Data transfer to and/or from a mobile device may be managed so that the network conditions, such as available signal strength and bearer type, are taken into consideration before proceeding with the data transfer. Accordingly, if the network conditions are not suitable for the service request requiring a data transfer, it is possible to not proceed with the request, such as by delaying it until network conditions become suitable.
