  • Patent number: 10235888
Abstract: A system for determining a dispatch includes an input interface, a processor, and an output interface. The input interface is to receive a request for a first pickup including a first pickup location and a first destination. The processor is configured to determining a driver to dispatch to the first pickup location. The output interface is to provide a first pickup indication to the driver to go to the first pickup location. The input interface is further to receive a first pickup arrival indication indicating the driver arrived at the first pickup location. The output interface is further to provide a first destination indication indicating to the driver to go to the first destination. The input interface is further to receive a request for a second pickup including a second pickup location and a second destination.

  • Patent number: 10220549
Abstract: A method of sub-ambient pressure processing of blow-molded polymer foams and skin-over-foam sandwich panel configurations for lightweight components having improved structural properties. The method can create either skinned or un-skinned foams that offer smooth interior and exterior surfaces, zero or controlled surface porosity, skins of pre-defined thickness, and foam cells that are expanded and oriented normal to the material plane, effectively spherical or polyhedral in nature, and offering improved bending and compressive strength.

  • Publication number: 20180149755
Abstract: Systems, methods, and machine-readable media for determining a location of a mobile device from different sources of location data is provided. The system may be configured to store current location data of a mobile device, the current location data associated with a first source of location data. The system may also be configured to obtain location data from a second source of location data, determine whether a first accuracy indicator of the current location data overlaps with a second accuracy indicator of the obtained location data from the second source, and update the current location data of the mobile device with the obtained location data from the second source if the first accuracy indicator of the current location data does not overlap with the second accuracy indicator of the obtained location data.

  • Publication number: 20180124568
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for requesting an updated location, including a point of interest, from a user for display on an interactive map. On receiving from an interested user a request for a point of interest associated with a subscribed user's current location, a request is transmitted to the subscribed user to check-in to the point of interest. In response to the request, the subscribed user selects a selected point of interest from a selection list. A representation of the subscribed user and the selected point of interest is then provided for display on an interactive map associated with the interested user.

  • Publication number: 20170193405
Abstract: A system for dispatching a driver comprises an interface and a processor. The interface is configured to receive a ride request from a rider located at a start location. The processor is configured to determine a selected driver to offer the ride request to. The system inefficiency score is reduced in the event that the selected driver accepts the request. The system inefficiency score comprises a sum over a set of drivers of an estimated time until a next passenger is picked up.

  • Patent number: 8909629
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating and using personalized location information tags (geotags). Personalized geotags take the place of generic location information such as latitude/longitude coordinates or granular city/state information. Such geotags may be published to present to selected people, e.g., family and friends, a user's current location. Thus, the user's location may be shown as “Home” or “Gym,” providing user-specific information without having to list a street address or latitude/longitude coordinates. Personalized geotags may be inferred based upon historical location information of the user. Geotags may also be inferred based upon geotag selections from other users in a network. A matching engine may select an appropriate geotag given the current location of a user device or based upon historical location information associated with the user.

  • Patent number: 8441367
Abstract: An alert server is operative to notify users when they are in proximity within one another. The alert server may determine to alert a first user of the proximity of a second user when the second user is in an unusual location. The alert server may determine that the second user is in an unusual location when the second user is outside his or her routine geographic location. The alert server may determine whether the second user is outside his or her routine geographic location by assigning confidence values to geographic locations that the second user has previously visited. The alert sent to the first user may be in the form of a text message, e-mail, or other electronic communication. The first user may receive the alert on a mobile device, such as a cellphone, smartphone, netbook, or other mobile device.
