The tray includes a magnet-adhering surface to hold a computer mouse having magnets attached underneath. A method for preventing a computer mouse from falling off a mouse pad includes attaching at least one magnet to the underside of the mouse, and placing and using the mouse on top of a metallic mouse pad.
