  • Patent number: 11974430
Abstract: A microelectronic device includes a stack structure comprising a vertically alternating sequence of insulative structures and conductive structures arranged in tiers. At least one pillar, comprising a channel material, extends through the stack structure. A source region, below the stack structure, comprises a doped material. A vertical extension of the doped material protrudes upward to an interface with the channel material at elevation within the stack structure (e.g., an elevation proximate or laterally overlapping in elevation at least one source-side GIDL region). The microelectronic device structure may be formed by a method that includes forming a lateral opening through cell materials of the pillar, recessing the channel material to form a vertical recess, and forming the doped material in the vertical recess. Additional microelectronic devices are also disclosed, as are related methods and electronic systems.

  • Publication number: 20210399137
Abstract: A semiconductor structure includes, from bottom to top or from top to bottom, a gate electrode, a ferroelectric dielectric layer, a metal-rich metal oxide layer, a dielectric metal nitride layer, and a metal oxide semiconductor layer. A ferroelectric field effect transistor may be provided by forming a source region and a drain region on the metal oxide semiconductor layer. The metal-rich metal oxide layer and the dielectric metal nitride layer homogenize and stabilize the interface between the ferroelectric dielectric layer and the metal oxide semiconductor layer, and reduce excess oxygen atoms at the interface, thereby improving switching characteristics of the ferroelectric field effect transistor.

  • Patent number: 10235965
Abstract: A method for interacting with a virtual game environment in an actor/director model is performed on a first computing device in an actor mode of operation and a second computing device in a director mode of operation. Both devices display the shared virtual environment. The second device pairs with the first device and synchronizes with the virtual environment of the first device during the pairing. After the pairing, the first device receives a message from the second device to request a change in the virtual environment. The first device implements the requested change and transmits changes including the requested change to the second device. The second device displays the virtual environment and additional controls. After pairing, responsive to receiving a user input on a control of an element in the virtual environment, the second device generates and transmits a message to the first device to request the element change.

  • Patent number: 9798534
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to a method of online storage device firmware upgrades by suspending input/output (I/O) operations to the storage device upon notification of a firmware upgrade to the storage device, maintaining a stripe log that contains data stripes updated by I/O operations issued to the storage device during suspension of the storage device, triggering the firmware upgrade to the storage device while the storage device is in suspension, reactivating the disk and new firmware upon completion of the firmware upgrade, and reconstructing the updated data stripes from the stripe log on the storage device after the reactivating step.

  • Publication number: 20160220903
Abstract: The method creates storybooks corresponding to user interactions with a virtual game environment. A computing device receives user input to control actions of a virtual character within a virtual game environment and records, without user input, a temporal sequence of events from the virtual game environment. Each event represents an interaction of the virtual character with the virtual game environment, and each event includes a respective image and respective text describing the respective event. Subsequent to the recording, the user is presented with a sequence of simulated pages corresponding to the sequence of events. Each simulated page includes the respective recorded image for a respective event and includes the respective text describing the event. For at least a subset of the simulated pages, the user modifies the respective text. An output file is generated that includes the sequence of simulated pages as modified by the user.

  • Patent number: 9291661
Abstract: A monitoring circuit and a monitoring system for electrostatic discharge (ESD) protective device are disclosed herein. The monitoring circuit includes an oscillating unit, a signal processing unit and a comparator. The oscillating unit includes a first monitoring end and a second monitoring end. The first monitoring end is configured to be electrically connected to an ESD protective device. The second monitoring end is configured to be electrically connected to ground. When the first monitoring end is not electrically contacted to a user's body or the second monitoring end is not connected to ground, the oscillating unit is configured to output an oscillating signal. The signal processing unit is electrically connected to the oscillating unit, and is configured to output a first voltage according to the oscillating signal. The comparator is configured to compare the first voltage and a reference voltage, and correspondingly output an alarm signal.

  • Patent number: 6874021
Abstract: A page for sending to a client process from a server during network management incorporates a form having a plurality of input fields and a submit button. The form is associated with either a first submit method or a second submit method. The first submit method is for obtaining information about a state of a particular network device. The second submit method is for changing the state of a particular network device. The page is sent to the client process. In response to activation of the submit button in the client process, routines are executed to operate on the particular network device based on which submit method was associated with the form. Using these techniques, a single set of input fields can be designed for both displaying and editing the state of network devices.

  • Patent number: 6804816
Abstract: Techniques for developing device-centric network management applications include a template. A computer platform includes one or more processors and an operating system. The template includes one or more sequences of statements of a platform-dependent scripting language. The statements are processed by a Web server executing on the platform. The statements cause the Web server to define a plurality of standard management methods and call at least a first standard management method. The statements also cause the Web server to define page level variables for holding in memory values used as parameters for the standard management methods. The template also includes a place to insert application-specific statements for presenting network information to a Web-based client process and for receiving input from the Web-based client process. A developer inserts the application-specific statements.
