Abstract: The present disclosure provides for a composition comprising a first layer having a first surface and a second surface and comprising a cellulosic material, wherein the first layer has a first thickness; a second layer having a first surface and a second surface, wherein the second surface of the second layer overlays the first surface of the first layer, wherein the second layer comprises a first compound comprising a first polymer and a first metal oxide, and wherein the second layer has a second thickness. Further provided herein is a method of making the same. Also disclosed herein is a an article comprising the composition provided herein. The disclosure also provides for a method of making an article from a recycled material.
