Abstract: The invention relates to a carrying bag, particularly a shopping bag having a preferably net and/or mesh like bag body 18 which has at least one strap 40, a housing 11 which has a retraction opening 17 and retraction means connected to the bag body 18, the means being made for example of a spring loaded reel 26, wherein the retraction opening 17 and the retraction means 26 are designed such that the bag body 18 is folded in a tubular manner when pulled into the housing 11 and is rolled up in the housing 11.
