  • Patent number: 10286290
Abstract: The present invention provides a versatile card caddy device comprised of two or more identical structures, or card caddy units, configured to provide a playing card case which can be converted easily into one or more discard trays. The present invention further provides a storage box adjoined to a closed card caddy for storing, carrying and transporting dice, tokens, score pads, pens, pencils and other accessories associated with card playing. The card caddy device allows for cost-effective manufacturing because only one mold is required to manufacture the single card caddy unit; secure closure in the closed configuration due to a bump and dimple closure mechanism; viewing of a deck of cards inside the closed card caddy due to a circular opening in the card caddy unit, which also provides assistance in opening the closed card caddy; and easier pick up of the a card in a stack of cards due to a slightly raised grid pattern on the bottom end of the rectangular base of the card caddy unit.
