Abstract: Systems and methods for management of persistent cookies in a corporate web portal are described. A plurality of zones may be defined and stored in memory. Each zone may be associated with a zone property indicative of whether cookies are allowed. A resource request may be received from a user device over a network where access to the requested resource may require a cookie. The user device may be classified into a zone from the plurality of zones based on the attributes of the user device. The cookie may be automatically installed on the user device based on a zone property for the zone and for those resources that have been configured to require installation of a cookie installed without requiring further user interaction following the request.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to log message processing such that events can be detected and alarms can be generated. For example, log messages are generated by a variety of network platforms (e.g., Windows servers, Linux servers, UNIX servers, databases, workstations, etc.). Often, relatively large numbers of logs are generated from these platforms in different formats. A log manager described herein collects such log data using various protocols (e.g., Syslog, SNMP, SMTP, etc.) to determine events. That is, the log manager may communicate with the network platforms using appropriate protocols to collect log messages therefrom. The log manager may then determine events (e.g., unauthorized access, logins, etc.) from the log data and transfer the events to an event manager. The event manager may analyze the events and determine whether alarms should be generated therefrom.

In particular, the printer and method include a plasma treatment stage or step for treating the surface of an item prior to printing. Sheet articles can be advantageously and efficiently advanced in separate stacks and later combined for insertion into an envelope. For insertion into an envelope, the mouth of the envelope can be selectively variably opened depending upon the amount of insertion material to go into the envelope where the amount an envelope is to be opened can be based upon processing or job information. Sheet articles can be registered and aligned to facilitate processing efficiencies. Sheet articles with creases, such as envelopes with mouth flaps, can be processed through a roller system to bend the crease so that the flap of the envelope assumes a desired position for subsequent processing. Additionally, sheet articles can be processed through a staging station with increased capacity for sheet processing.
