  • Publication number: 20240207530
Abstract: A drive subassembly for a drug delivery device includes a housing element, a drive member, an energy member configured to provide energy to induce a torque onto the drive member tending to rotate the drive member in a first rotational direction, wherein the drive subassembly has a first and a second locked state. In the first locked state, a first rotation-locking mechanism prevents a movement of the drive member in the first rotational direction induced by the energy member. In the second locked state, a second rotation-locking mechanism prevents a rotation of the drive member in the first rotational direction induced by the energy member and an axial-locking mechanism prevents an axial movement of the drive member. The drive subassembly is configured to be switched from the second locked state into the first locked state by releasing the axial-locking mechanism and moving the drive member in an axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20240207519
Abstract: An arrangement for a drug delivery device includes a housing element, a plunger rod being arranged axially movable with respect to the housing element, a transfer member being arranged rotatably with respect to the housing element, an energy member configured to provide energy to induce a torque onto the transfer member, wherein the transfer member and the plunger rod are operatively coupled such that a rotation of the transfer member is converted into an axial movement of the plunger rod. The arrangement comprises a released state in which (i) the energy member induces a torque onto the transfer member, and (ii) the transfer member rotates in a first rotational direction due to the induced torque and thereby forces the plunger rod to move axially in a distal direction. The plunger rod being rotationally fixed with respect to the housing element.

  • Publication number: 20240033441
Abstract: A drug delivery device includes a housing element, a release member, a plunger rod, a transfer member arranged rotatably with respect to the housing element, an energy member, a displaceable element being displaceable between a first position and a second position, wherein the transfer member and the plunger rod are operatively coupled such that a rotation of the transfer member is converted into an axial movement of the plunger rod, the drug delivery device has a first locked state, wherein, in the first locked state, (i) a releasable first locking mechanism prevents a rotational movement of the transfer member, (ii) the release member is in an initial position and arranged to hold the displaceable element in the first position, and (iii) the transfer member is coupled to the displaceable element held in the first position via an axial-lock interface which prevents an axial movement of the transfer member.

  • Publication number: 20240033443
Abstract: A drug delivery device includes a housing element, a release member, a plunger rod, an energy member, and a displaceable element. The drug delivery device has a first locked state in which the release member is in a distal position and arranged to hold the displaceable element in a first radial position to prevent a movement of the plunger rod in distal direction by the energy member. The drug delivery device is configured to be switched from the first locked state into a released state by moving the release member from the distal position into a proximal position. In the released state, the release member no longer holds the displaceable element in the first radial position, which enables a movement of the displaceable element from the first radial position into a second radial position to release the plunger rod such that the plunger rod moves in the distal direction.

  • Publication number: 20240017018
Abstract: A drug delivery device includes a housing element, a protection member, a moveable member, a first stop feature, a second stop feature configured to interact with the first stop feature, wherein the drug delivery device is configured to perform a drug delivery operation, wherein the drug delivery device is configured to be switchable from an initial state into a released state, wherein in the released state (i) the protection member is in a proximal position, and (ii) the moveable member moves into a locking position, and wherein the drug delivery device is configured to be switchable from the released state into a post-released state by moving the protection member from the proximal position in a distal direction into a post-release position, wherein in the post-released state (i) the protection member is in the post-release position and (ii) the moveable member is in the locking position.

  • Publication number: 20240001041
Abstract: A drug delivery device includes a housing element, a protection member, a movable member, wherein the drug delivery device has an initial state, in which (i) the protection member is in an extended position to cover the drug delivery element, (ii) the protection member is movable in a proximal direction from the extended position into a retracted position in order to expose the drug delivery element, and (iii) the protection member is coupled to the movable member in distal direction and proximal direction such that an axial movement of the protection member in both, the distal and proximal direction, results in an axial movement of the movable member in the same direction. The drug delivery device is configured such that, starting from the initial state, movement of the protection member in proximal direction initiates a rotation of the movable member relative to the protection member by a predetermined angle.

  • Publication number: 20230414879
Abstract: An arrangement for a drug delivery device includes a housing element, a plunger rod that is axially movable with respect to the housing element, a feedback element that is axially movable with respect to the housing element and with respect to the plunger rod, a feedback energy member configured to provide energy to induce a movement of the feedback element relative to the plunger rod in a first axial direction, and a radially displaceable stop feature and an impact feature. The arrangement has an initial state in which the plunger rod is in a proximal position, the feedback element is arranged in a cavity of the plunger rod, and the feedback element is limited in movement relative to plunger rod in the first axial direction by the stop feature being in a first radial position. The arrangement is configured to be switched from the initial state into a released state.
