  • Patent number: 10956219
Abstract: Systems and methods may use models to generate predictions of specific access rights for users. Further, systems and methods may generate the predictions in an environment in which the availability of the specific access rights change frequently. The access rights, predicted using embodiments described herein, may be both available and associated with user affinities. An interface associated with the primary load management system may be configured to display the predicted access rights for a user operating a user device.

  • Patent number: 10924509
Abstract: Digital data processing systems of the type in which a server digital data device (“server”) is coupled to a client digital data device (“client”) over a network, e.g., the Internet, include web server software executing within an application layer on the server that responds to a request from the client by (i) validating a key received from the client with that request, (ii) generating a result code indicative of a success of that validation, (iii) initiating processing of the request, including invoking server resource software executing outside the application layer. The server resource software, which checks the result code upon invocation and before performing a protected operation required for processing the request, responds to a result code indicating that the result did not validate by exiting before executing the protected operation.

  • Patent number: 10773896
Abstract: A conveyor system is provided. Conveyor modules are pivotally secured to one another through engagement of links on a first and second side of each module. Portals extend through the modules. Each portal comprises four portal surfaces oriented in opposing pairs. A radial slot is located on each of at least two portal surfaces. A cup is provided with four walls. Ridges are formed on the outside surfaces of at least two opposing walls of the cup. An orifice is formed on two opposing walls of the cup. A roller is rotatably mounted on an axle that extends between the orifices to position the roller inside the cup. The cup is secured inside the portal by engagement of the ridges with the slots. The cup and roller assembly may be rotated to change its orientation relative to the module.

  • Patent number: 10136167
Abstract: A system for selecting a video to be inserted into an article displayed at a web page includes a blackboard. The blackboard stores extracted values for operation thereon by one or more workers. An article extractor creates an article feature as a function of information extracted from the article and inputs the article feature to the blackboard. A threshold extractor determines a threshold factor as a function of the relevance of the video to the article, and inputting the threshold factor to the blackboard. A more like this recommender receives the article feature and outputs to the blackboard, as a function of the article feature, a more like this recommendation as a list of videos to be placed in the article. A more like this decider determines, as a function of the threshold factor and the more like this recommendation, which video to select as a more like this decision.

  • Patent number: 10077995
Abstract: A flow rate control apparatus includes an adjustable valve receiving a flow of a gas. A conduit has a first end coupled to the valve. The conduit includes a translucent or transparent portion thereof whose longitudinal axis is adapted to be aligned with a force of gravity with a visual scale being disposed on the translucent/transparent portion. The visual scale is indicative of gas flow rates moving through the conduit. A ball disposed in the translucent/transparent portion has an outer diameter that is less than an inner diameter of the translucent/transparent portion. A tube support, coupled to the second end of the conduit, is adapted to hold a gas detection tube wherein the gas flow flowing around the ball is introduced into the gas detection tube from the second end of the conduit.

  • Patent number: 10026179
Abstract: An object may be identified, if each measured value of a characteristic of the object is within a corresponding range of a set of characteristics. The object may then be classified as a true alarm or false alarm by a user. Next, the measured values of the object may be added as a data point to a set of data points. Each of data points is along a plurality of dimensions and each of the dimensions corresponds to one of the set of characteristics. Further, each of the data points has been classified as a true alarm or false alarm. The range of the set of characteristics may be updated to reduce a weighted score based on a number of the true alarms that are outside a region along the plurality of dimensions and a number of the false alarms inside the region for the set of data points. The region is defined based on numerical analysis of the set of data points. The weighted score may provide separate weights to the true alarms outside the region and the missed alarms inside the region.

  • Patent number: 9773194
Abstract: A homography is determined between a test image and a plurality of database images based on a location of a character along a main line of text of the test image. A similarity score is determined for each of the plurality of database images based on the determined homography. The similarity score may measure a similarity of a characteristic between the test image and the corresponding database image. The characteristic may be at a location separate from the main line of text of the test image. A type of the test image may be selected based on the similarity scores.
