    Abstract: A lift assist for a loading ramp includes two biasing mechanisms that cooperate to bias the loading ramp from a stored position under a truck to a working position that engages the truck bed. One biasing mechanism is a mechanical bias, such as a coiled spring. The other biasing mechanism is a hydraulic bias, such as a gas spring.
