  • Publication number: 20230045044
Abstract: A surgical simulation network system is provided that facilitates user training in various surgical procedures and subsequent assessments of the user by allowing the users and assessors to be at different physical locations. The surgical simulation network system is part of a network having various surgical trainers that capture user performance data related to various surgical simulations. The user performance data is subsequently accessible by one or more assessors via the surgical simulation network system that allows the assessors to assess the user's competency. Thus, the users and the assessors can be located at different locations. Furthermore, the performance of the simulation and the assessments can be performed at different times.

  • Patent number: 9479397
Abstract: An apparatus includes a switch that has a module implemented in at least one of a processor or a memory, and multiple ports including a first port and a second port in a predefined sequence relative to the first port. The module is configured to automatically associate a first compute device with a first virtual local area network (VLAN) when the first compute device is coupled to the first port with a first cable. The module is configured to automatically associate a second compute device to the first VLAN when the second compute device is coupled to the second port with a second cable based on the second port being in a predefined sequence relative to the first port. The predefined sequence can include, for example, the second port being next in physical sequence after the first port.

  • Patent number: 8804622
Abstract: A wireless access point may include a processor to communicate with a management device over a network; a wired Ethernet interface to the network; and a wireless interface to connect, using a local wireless protocol, to one or more client computing devices, where the wireless access point provides an access point for the one or more client computing devices to connect to the network. The wireless access point may further include an interface to provide a local connection to a modular device, where the processor is to transmit, over the network, data received from the modular device to the management device or data received from the management device to the modular device; and a housing to contain the processor, the wired Ethernet interface, the wireless interface, and the interface to provide the local connection.
