  • Patent number: 7111759
Abstract: A sanitary, disposable dispensing assembly especially useful in producing a substantially contaminant-free reconstituted mixture of diluent and pure, preservative-free concentrate includes an inner member linearly slidable between open and closed positions in an outer member provided with a concentrate inlet. The dispensing assembly features a vent arrangement for enabling a complete draining of the mixture and preventing bacterial growth. A rib arrangement improves mixing of the combined diluent and concentrate, and prevents dispersion of the mixture when dispensed. The dispensing assembly is utilized in mechanical pump type and non-mechanical pump type applications on a post mix food and beverage dispenser.

  • Patent number: 6149035
Abstract: A food and beverage dispensing system having a main dispenser for holding and dispensing a food or beverage mixture comprised of water and dry concentrate. A replenishing dispenser is connected to and stationed entirely independent of the main dispenser. The replenishing dispenser has a mixing valve for automatically and periodically blending proportioned amounts of the water and dry concentrate to form the food or beverage mixture. The mixing valve intermittently dispenses a controlled amount of the food or beverage mixture therefrom. The replenishing dispenser also has a reservoir located below the mixing valve for receiving, holding and periodically delivering a food or beverage mixture to the main dispenser in accordance with the amount of food or beverage mixture dispensed from the main dispenser.

  • Patent number: 5353963
Abstract: A post mix liquid dispensing system for combining a concentrate with a diluent including an arrangement in which the diluent is self-contained within the system, independent of any external diluent source such that the system is portable with respect to the diluent and concentrate. A concentrate pump having a pair of rollers cooperating with a rotor rotatably driven within a fixed race by a motor and spring biased into and out of clamping engagement with a conduit carrying the concentrate forces concentrate through the conduit during rotation of the rotor. The concentrate pump interacts with a diluent pump to transfer concentrate and diluent into a mixing valve for dispensing of a food or beverage of uniform consistency.
