  • Patent number: 5184661
Abstract: An assembly for draping curtains or the like, includes at least one, especially two horizontally spaced holders each bent to approximate U-shape, a curtain material plaited to form a bar- or board-like bundle being placed over the upper legs of the holders when in the mounted state and being passed between the upper and lower legs thereof in such a way that the curtain material is retained while a predetermined draping configuration is maintained. Another embodiment features an approximately U- or C-shaped holder which is mounted in spaced relationship from a wall or the like such that the plane defined by the two prongs or legs of the holder extends approximately parallel with the wall.

  • Patent number: 5078199
Abstract: A drapery holder for securing to a wall surface for retaining drapery material adjacent to a window or wall opening includes a wall engaging member disposed in a first plane. A first leg has a first end disposed adjacent to the wall engaging member and a second end extends from the first end and projects outwardly in a second plane substantially orthogonally to the wall engaging member. A curved member is disposed adjacent to the second end of the first leg. The curved member projects from the second plane in a path curving in a reverse direction back towards the wall engaging member. The second leg includes a first end disposed adjacent to the curved member and a second end projecting rearwardly towards the wall engaging member. The second leg is disposed in a third plane substantially orthogonally disposed relative to the wall engaging member and is substantially in parallel with the second plane.

  • Patent number: 5018567
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and kit for forming a decorative shape with the portion of a curtain material that extends down along the side of a window. The decorative shape, known as the tie-back pouf, is formed by first mounting a C-shaped holder to opposing sides of a wall. A portion of the curtain material that extends down along the window is plaited to form a bar-like bundle and is pulled forward through the prongs of the holder from the wall area. The forwardly pulled portion of the curtain material is then pulled around the sides of the holder to form the tie-back pouf.

  • Patent number: 5012851
Abstract: The invention relates to a holder for draping curtains and for fastening to a wall. The draping of relatively large amounts of curtain material for decorating door or window openings requires much experience. A visually attractive hang of the folds is particularly difficult. To simplify the draping procedure, a holder is provided with at least two recesses in the form of two U sections in each of which parts of the curtain material can be laid.
