  • Publication number: 20070290678
Abstract: A magnetic sensor system (1) is provided that contains sensor elements (5, 6) that are sensitive to magnetic fields, the electrical properties of said sensor elements being modifiable according to a magnetic field that can be influenced by a mobile, passive transmitter element (8). The magnetic sensor system (1) includes two sensor elements (5, 6) in a gradiometer system, each of which is assigned to one of two permanent magnets (2, 3) having a predetermined separation. In terms of their dimensions, separation and position relative to the sensor elements (5, 6), the permanent magnets (2, 3) are located such that the offset of the output signal of the sensor elements (5, 6) is minimized in the gradiometer system.

  • Patent number: 7278810
Abstract: A grommet for an opening of a sheet member includes a shank, a head and at least a flexible locking tab. The shank includes, in a region adjacent the head and outside the locking tab, a shoulder to be placed below an edge of the opening when the shank is rotated an angle about the axis of the opening after being inserted therein. The shoulder and the locking tab prevent withdrawal of the grommet from the opening. The shank further includes an inclined outer surface section connecting the shoulder and the lower surface of the head. The inclined outer surface section engages the edge of the opening and draws the shank into the opening upon rotation of the shank.

  • Patent number: 6648781
Abstract: An adjustable pulley for use in a continuously variable transmission has two coaxial flanges at least one of which is a composite flange having an annular main section with a conical surface adjacent a reinforcing liner of wear resistant material. The liner is secured to the main section of the composite flange by a one-piece or composite disc-shaped insert one side of which has several portions affixed (such as bonded and/or riveted) to the adjacent side of the liner, and the other side of which has several portions affixed to the conical surface and/or another part of the main section. Those portions of the one side of the insert which are affixed to the liner are out of register with those portions of the other side of the insert which are affixed to the main section to thus enable the liner to move relative to the conical surface in one or more directions other than circumferentially of the main section.
