    Abstract: The process for preparing a redispersible powder of a water-insoluble polymer by a producing a gel of a water-soluble macromolecular substance and water. Then a second solution is prepared by mixing a single organic solvent which is partially miscible with water and a water-insoluble polymer. These two solutions are emulsified and then water is added to diffuse the solvent to form microparticles in suspension. The particles are collected by a conventional method.
