  • Publication number: 20140141161
Abstract: The present invention relates to a flexible polyurethane coating composition for application, preferably by spraying, to a substrate to protect and or improve the properties of the substrate. Specifically, the coating composition is a reactive polyurethane formulation which forms an elastomeric polyurethane coating with improved flammability properties. The reactive formulation comprises an A side comprising an isocyanate prepolymer with optional flame retardant compounds and a B side comprising a dispersion of red phosphorous, with optional additional flame retardant compounds, in an aromatic polyester polyol.

  • Publication number: 20110098417
Abstract: The present invention is to the preparation and application of isocyanate based polymers, particularly polyurethane and polyurea elastomeric polymers. By incorporating polybutadiene with a polyether polyol in a polyurethane system, the produced elastomer have improved chemical resistance as compared to conventional polyurethane elastomers. For polyurea elastomer, the incorporation of high functional polyols or crosslinkers with polybutadiene gives elastomer with improved chemical resistance as compared to conventional polyurea elastomers.
