Patent number: 12564993Abstract: A nozzle includes a tubular, temperature-controlled outer casing, centered on an axis. For a more compact and efficient design, the nozzle also includes an inner member coaxially arranged inside the outer casing and mounted rotatably about the axis relative to the outer casing, such that a downstream portion of the inner member extends outside the outer casing and engages with a drive motor to rotate about the axis, and such that a channel having an annular cross section and centered on the axis is defined between the outer casing and the inner member. The channel has an upstream end and a downstream end between which the material flows into the channel when it is pushed through the nozzle such that, when the material is pushed through the nozzle, the material moves through the channel from the upstream end to the downstream end whereby the material axially exits the channel.Type: GrantFiled: July 20, 2021Date of Patent: March 3, 2026Assignee: CLEXTRALInventors: Michael Beyrer, Christian Cachelin, Laurent Rapillard

Publication number: 20210144991Abstract: A modular sample store including a storage area; a service area; a transfer area; a motorized robot with a lifting device and at least one platform; and a controller. The sample store service area includes one integrally formed cubic vat module and the sample store storage area includes at least one integrally formed cubic vat module. Each one of the aforementioned vat modules includes an essentially horizontal vat floor and four joining vat walls that are connected to the vat floor and that are leaving an open vat space. The modular sample store also includes upper side walls and a cover plate to close the sample store. Each vat floor and vat wall includes an outside liner and an inside liner, which outside and inside liners in each case are separated by a clearance.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 17, 2020Publication date: May 20, 2021Inventors: Johann CAMENISCH, Beat REUTELER, Mirko HEBENSTREIT, Jurg TANNER, Christian CACHELIN

Publication number: 20080213080Abstract: The invention relates to a compact storage system and a corresponding method for storing frozen specimens. The compact storage system comprises one storage area, a housing with thermal insulation and at least one refrigeration unit, with which at least the storage area is coolable down to a temperature of at least ?15° C. The compact storage system also comprises storage shelves arranged completely within the refrigerated storage area and a transfer area arranged above this storage area. An essentially horizontally moving robot is arranged within the transfer area. The compact storage system is characterised in that it comprises at least one essentially vertical paternoster device, with a plurality of essentially horizontally oriented storage shelves circulating on an essentially oval path. The robot working in conjunction with the paternoster device is accomplished for removing or depositing a storage shelf and/or objects from/onto a storage shelf respectively.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 7, 2007Publication date: September 4, 2008Inventors: Christian Cachelin, Bernhard Iseli, Dietmar Reisch, Jurg Steck, Thomas Stucki, Andre Wasserfallen, Lorenz Zellweger
