  • Patent number: 11168224
Abstract: A heat exchanger for an air-conditioning circuit of a vehicle. The heat exchanger enables heat exchange between fluids and has a surfaces in contact with one of the fluids. The surface is formed from aluminum and/or from aluminum alloy. The surface is coated with an alumina layer and a reinforcing layer. The reinforcing layer includes an organic substance and a mineral substance. The organic substance includes at least one polymer and the mineral substance is capable of reacting with the aluminum in order to form an anticorrosion material.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 12, 2019
Date of Patent: November 9, 2021
    Assignee: Valeo Systemes Thermiques
Inventors: Christian Casenave, François Busson, Maryse Philippe, Jean-Christophe Prevost

  • Patent number: 7926556
Abstract: Process for the manufacture of a heat exchanger, in particular an evaporator, comprising the preparation, assembling and brazing of components of the heat exchanger, the brazing being carried out under given temperature conditions. Prior to the assembling and to the brazing, a surface treatment operation is carried out that includes applying a coating to a chosen component, the coating including a support, at least one active agent suitable for giving the heat exchanger chosen properties during its operation, and at least one thermal protection agent suitable for enabling the coating to withstand the brazing temperature conditions.

  • Publication number: 20090166012
Abstract: Process for the manufacture of a heat exchanger, including a surface treatment, and heat exchanger thus obtained Process for the manufacture of a heat exchanger, in particular an evaporator, comprising the preparation (A), assembly (B) and brazing (C) of components of the heat exchanger (1), the brazing (C) being carried out under given temperature conditions. Prior to the assembling (C) and to the brazing (B), a surface treatment operation (A101, A114) is carried out, consisting in applying a coating (102) to a chosen component (6), said coating comprising a support, at least one active agent suitable for giving the heat exchanger (1) chosen properties during its operation, and at least one thermal protection agent suitable for enabling the coating (102) to withstand the brazing temperature conditions.

  • Publication number: 20050181138
Abstract: The surface of the evaporator is treated, without a preliminary stage of surface conversion, with a liquid comprising one or more substances capable of conferring, on the resulting coat, properties of adherence to the substrate and film-forming and corrosion-inhibiting and hydrophilic properties and one or more substances capable of conferring, on said coat, antimicrobial properties, the ratio by weight of the substances capable of conferring adherence properties and film-forming, corrosion-inhibiting and hydrophilic properties to the substances capable of conferring antimicrobial properties being less than or equal to 2/100. The coat thus formed is insoluble in water and does not exhibit an odor. Application to air conditioners for vehicles.
