  • Patent number: 5405185
Abstract: A tilt and slide sun-roof comprises a mobile panel on each side of which is a sliding member comprising a first mobile panel pivot pin, a rail, a guide carriage and a guide fastened to the mobile panel. The guide carriage is movable in translation relative to said rail to tilt the mobile panel by rotating it about the first pivot pin and then sliding it. The guide carriage comprises a pivot pin so that the mobile panel is tilted by rotating the guide carriage about the second pivot pin during translatory movement of the guide carriage towards the rear of the mobile panel. It includes an arrangement for preventing rotation of the guide carriage during return movement of the guide carriage towards the front.

  • Patent number: 5280992
Abstract: A tilt and slide roof opening and closing device adapted to be fixed to the top of a roof comprises two pairs of carriages guided in rails by a pair of cables and a pair of slides carrying a mobile panel. The slides are articulated by a pair of links carrying three operating studs accommodated and moving in guide paths. Each link is coupled to a rear carriage to pivot freely about an axis. Each front carriage carries an operating stud accommodated and moving in a guide path. The thickness of the roof opening and closing device is less than 18 mm.

  • Patent number: 5275461
Abstract: An opening roof for automobile vehicles comprises a pair of rails, carriages mobile in longitudinal translation in the rails, a pair of slides carrying a panel adapted to close or uncover an opening in the roof of the vehicle, a pair of front links and a pair of rear links. The links are linked to the carriages by a rotation member and to the slides by members moving in guide paths formed in the thickness of the slides. Movement of the front links is desynchronized with respect to movement of the rear links to tilt the panel and slide it over the top of the roof.

  • Patent number: 5257849
Abstract: A roof opening and closing device, in particular for an automobile vehicle having a roof in which an opening is formed, comprises a pair of rails fixed on either side of the opening to the top of the roof and four carriages mobile in longitudinal translation in the rails. Four skids functionally related to the carriages are joined to a panel sliding over the roof. The skids carry studs accommodated and moving in guide paths in the carriages to raise the panel above the roof without moving it in translation and to slide it over the roof to uncover the opening.

  • Patent number: 4371186
Abstract: An articulation for an articulated vehicle is disclosed which comprises first and second elements fixed respectively to each of the vehicle sections and an intermediate element, the three elements each presenting mean main planes which blend into a single horizontal plane to yield an articulation of limited thickness, the first element being articulated on the intermediate element both around a longitudinal horizontal axis and around a transverse horizontal axis, the second element being articulated on the intermediate element around a vertical axis. A preferred embodiment includes friction pads and cooperating surfaces for dampening the articulation around the vertical axis and force transducers for measuring any horizontal compressive force transmitted through the articulation.
