  • Patent number: 8682636
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods, systems, computer programs and data files implement and use techniques for recording and recreating user interactions with an application program. User actions performed in interacting with an application program in a first user interface environment are detected, and an abstract representation of the user actions is recorded. The user actions access one or more components of the first user interface environment, which implement user interface elements of the application program. The abstract representation describes the user actions in a format independent of the components of the first user interface environment. The abstract representation is usable in a second user interface environment to recreate results of the user actions in the application program. The abstract representations can be used to test application programs in different user interface environments.

  • Patent number: 8196104
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products consistent with the invention expose semantic information for the user interface elements of an application at runtime as part of a rich object model and check accessibility requirements compliance, such as Section 508 compliance, for each user screen or other user-interface that the application presents. In some embodiments, accessibility checks are based at least in part on the context of the user interface elements as exposed through the object model.

Date of Patent: June 5, 2012
    Assignee: SAP AG

  • Patent number: 7099893
Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for recording user actions includes receiving information representing a sequence of individual software application input actions taken by a user with respect to a software application, and recording the sequence as a higher level entry.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 28, 2002
Date of Patent: August 29, 2006

  • Publication number: 20060063138
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for adapting data from a user interface. The disclosed systems and methods may include creating an identification associated with at least one screen on the user interface. The at least one screen may be produced by an executed software module. The disclosed systems and methods may further include receiving accessibility information associated with the at least one screen on the user interface and storing the identification and the accessibility information. Furthermore, the disclosed systems and methods may include driving the user interface with an executed software module, wherein the user interface is configured to display the at least one screen having an identification. In addition, the disclosed systems and methods may include accessing accessibility information based on the identification and providing the accessibility information.
