  • Patent number: 6993280
Abstract: A fuser roller for a printing machine that is equipped with internally located heating elements and has a cylindrically shaped body that is closed off at each end by flanges. At least one connecting element, that is moveable in a rolling motion, is provided between the body and the flanges. A spring plate urges the flange, via an offset that has a chamfer, against the connecting element that is located inside an annular groove. The annular groove can also have a chamfer. Changes in the connection can be balanced out by movements of the connecting elements and commensurate pulling up of the flange by the spring plate.

  • Patent number: 6615722
Abstract: A cylinder with a functional layer (23) and with a supporting body (1), which passes through the cylinder. On the supporting body (1), a sleeve that accommodates the functional layer (23) is supported at ends (2, 5). The supporting body (1) is for its part accommodated on supporting elements (10, 11, 13) provided on the frame side. The cylinder sleeve (3) that accommodates the functional layer (23) can be centered in relation to the axis of rotation (8) by centering faces (6, 7) formed at the ends (2, 5). • Patent number: 6578483
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for assembly of tubular cylindrical carriers (8) on the circumference (22) of carrier cylinders (1) of drums or cylinders, wherein for the assembly of the tubular carrier (8) on the lateral surface (22) a pressure medium acts upon the latter. By attaching an assembly aid (4), on which a tubular carrier (8) can be held, on the carrier cylinder (1), a pressure medium acts upon the latter, so that positioning of the tubular carrier (8) is made possible.

  • Patent number: 6484002
Abstract: A document printer/copier comprises a pair of drum-support members for rotatably supporting an image-recording drum and, optionally, an intermediate image-transfer drum. At least one of such drum-support members is adapted to be decoupled from the drum(s) it supports and be moved to a position within the machine frame in which it does interfere with the replacement of the drum(s)'s outer layer. Preferably, such member comprises a selectively energizable clamp which, when energized, clamps onto an axle bearing of a drum and thereby supports the drum for rotation. When de-energized, the clamp releases the drum bearing, enabling the drum-support member to be slid axially along the drum axis to a position spaced from the drum axle, and thereafter pivoted to a position spaced from the drum axis where it does not interfere with drum servicing and/or replacement.
