  • Patent number: 11186813
Abstract: A device for placing disks contained in a cartridge comprises a disk cartridge receiving area, a piston, means for moving the piston between a high position and a low position to enable, in the state in which a disk is positioned in the path followed by the piston during the transition from the high position to the low position of the piston, the disk to be placed on a surface vertically in line with the disk, a transfer system capable of transferring a disk from the cartridge in the cartridge receiving area to a location, arranged in the path to be followed by said piston, the said transit area. The device comprises a disk motion assist guide positionable in the transit area and moveable in a direction parallel to the up and down direction of movement of the piston.

  • Patent number: 10845374
Abstract: A device is provided for the storage and selection of cartridges (20) that are pre-filled with reactive discs to be placed on a support. The support has a plurality of magazines (2) each able to store a cartridge (20) of discs, at least one magazine-holding support (3) and, for each support (3), drive means (4) for moving the magazine-holding support (3). The device (1) has a chamber (5) for housing at least one magazine-holding support (3). A drive mechanism (8) drives the movement of the magazine (2) in the placement configuration between a position in which said magazine (2) is distant from and a position in which same is closer to the placement opening (7) of the chamber (5).

  • Publication number: 20170267965
Abstract: A method for detecting inoculation in order to detect inoculation with a sample of a solid culture medium (21) present in a layer on a culture plate (20), said culture plate (20) being positioned on a support (2), said method comprising a step of projecting an incident light flux towards said support (2) in order to allow oblique illumination of the surface referred to as the inoculation surface (22) of said culture medium (21) of the culture plate (20) when the culture plate (20) is provided in the disposed state on said support (2), a step of displaying, on a display area (41) of a display screen (4), a two-dimensional image of the incident light flux reflected by the inoculation surface (22) of the culture plate (20) in the illuminated state illuminated by the means (3) for projecting a light flux, and a step of photographing the display area (41) of the screen (4).

  • Publication number: 20100203576
Abstract: A process for determination of microorganisms' projected resistance to antibiotics that includes analyzing a first microorganism by mass spectrometry so as to obtain a first mass spectrum of the first microorganism, whereby the process is characterized in that an analytical device carries out the following stages: (i) Comparing the first mass spectrum to mass spectra that are contained in a data base, so as to obtain a list of one or more microorganisms that are identical or at least similar to the first microorganism, and whose resistance to given antibiotics is known, (ii) Implementing a projected analysis of the first microorganism's resistance to antibiotics based on the resistance to antibiotics of the microorganism or microorganisms that are identical or at least similar, obtained in stage (ii).
