  • Publication number: 20230390010
Abstract: A caster assembly that includes a caster wheel, a lock member, a pedal, and a position sensor. The lock member can engage the caster wheel. Movement of the pedal towards a depressed position can cause engagement of the lock member against the caster wheel to resist or prevent rotation of the caster wheel. Movement of the pedal towards a released position can separate the lock member from the caster wheel to permit rotation of the caster wheel. The position sensor can detect a position of the pedal.

  • Publication number: 20230390006
Abstract: A caster assembly includes a caster and a lock member. The caster can include a caster support coupled to the robotic surgery console and a caster wheel rotatably coupled to the caster support. The lock member can include a pivot component, an extension portion, and a brake portion. The brake portion can pivot relative to the caster between a locked position and an unlocked position. In the locked position, the brake portion engages with the caster wheel, and in the unlocked position, the brake portion is disengaged with the caster wheel.

  • Patent number: 11813204
Abstract: A robotic medical system can include a patient platform. The patient platform includes a tilt mechanism. The tilt mechanism can include a lateral tilt mechanism and a longitudinal tilt mechanism. The lateral tilt mechanism can include a tilt plate and a pivot housing. A linear actuator mounted on the tilt plate can apply a linear force to the pivot housing. The lateral tilt mechanism can also include a first linear guide that extends along a first axis, and the pivot housing can translate along the first linear guide. Application of the linear force to the pivot housing tilts the tilt plate by causing the pivot housing to translate along the first linear guide.

  • Publication number: 20220096179
Abstract: A robotic medical system can include a motorized arm that is supported by a column of the system. The robotic arm can be operated by rotating a link of the motorized arm by actuating an actuator to drive rotation of a rotary joint. A brake can then be applied to the rotary joint to stop rotation of the link. The arm can also include an arbor that can be actuated to increase a torsional stiffness of the rotary joint.

  • Patent number: 11202683
Abstract: A motorized arm for a robotic medical system can include a shoulder coupled to a column of a table by a translational joint that allows translation of the shoulder along the column, a first link rotationally coupled to the column, a second link rotational coupled to the first link, and an arm support coupled to a distal end of the second link. The arm support can be configured to support one or more robotic arms usable during a robotic medical procedures. The motorized arm can include actuators for driving rotation of the links and arbors that can be engaged to increase the torsional stiffness of the motorized arm. The motorized arm can move the arm support between a stowed position below the table to a deployed position.
