  • Publication number: 20240177598
Abstract: A method updates traffic information relating to a vehicle. The method includes ascertaining a change in traffic information for each road section of a navigation map responsive to a request message from the vehicle. The method also includes determining a criticality value for the ascertained change in the traffic information for each road section, and determining a relevance value for each ascertained change. A volume of change of the traffic information relating to the navigation map is calculated based at least in part on the ascertained changes in the traffic information, the determined criticality value, and the determined relevance value for all road sections of the navigation map. The method includes transmitting a response message comprising the traffic information if the calculated volume of change exceeds a predefined threshold value. The vehicle can update the traffic information relating to the vehicle based on the transmitted response message.

  • Publication number: 20240159556
Abstract: A method for providing a navigation map to a vehicle includes receiving, at a server, a request message in order to update the navigation map of the vehicle. The method further includes ascertaining a change to a portion of the navigation map of the vehicle on the basis of the received request message from the vehicle and on the basis of a current portion of the navigation map of the server outside the vehicle. In addition, the method includes determining a scope of change for the portion of the navigation map of the vehicle on the basis of the ascertained change, and checking whether the determined scope of change for the portion of the navigation map of the vehicle equals, exceeds, or falls below a predefined threshold value. A response message for updating the navigation map of the vehicle is generated based on the determined scope of change.

  • Publication number: 20240160489
Abstract: A method for allocating resources of a vehicle includes providing a graph. The graph includes a plurality of nodes which are interconnected via edges. Each node is representative of at least one vehicle function. Each edge is representative of a probability of a transition from one of the plurality of nodes to another of the plurality of nodes. The method also includes determining an activated vehicle function which is operated during a journey, and allocating the activated vehicle function to a first node of the plurality of nodes. The method further includes determining the probability of transition of the allocated first node to a further node of the plurality of nodes, and allocating the resources of the vehicle depending on the determined transition probability.

  • Publication number: 20240068834
Abstract: A method for determining travel information of a vehicle on a predetermined route includes determining a usual travel time on the route and determining a current travel time on the route on the basis of a current traffic flow on the route. The method further includes determining a predicted travel time on the basis of a traffic flow on the route at the time at which the vehicle is expected to travel on said route. The method also includes providing a deviation of the predicted travel time from the usual travel time and providing a deviation of the predicted travel time from the current travel time.

  • Publication number: 20240027209
Abstract: A device is provided for determining a driving route for a vehicle which has an automated driving mode and a manual driving mode. The device is configured to determine release information relating to the release of the automated driving mode on different road portions of a road network on which the vehicle is travelling. The device is also configured to determine and/or predict availability information relating to the availability of the driver of the vehicle for manually guiding the vehicle longitudinally and/or transversely during a journey from a starting point to a destination point. Furthermore, the device is configured to determine a driving route through the road network from the starting point to the destination point based on the release information and the availability information.

  • Publication number: 20230273784
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for a time-controlled delivery of updatable services to on-board systems of vehicles which use the services. The method includes analyzing the detected data to identify delivery time periods for the updatable services being optimal for each vehicle which uses the services, wherein the network usage of the backend server is optimally allotted to the specified time period on the basis of the availability of the data connection of the vehicles using the services to the backend server. A system for a time-controlled delivery of updatable services to on-board systems of vehicles that use the services is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20230154324
Abstract: A computer-implemented method and system for usage-controlled service delivery to an onboard system of a vehicle are designed for delivering updatable services to the onboard system of the vehicle by way of a vehicle-external server according to data of the service usage behavior of a vehicle user of the updatable services.
